Katherine Jean Bolduan professionally known as Kate Bolduan is an American journalist for the broadcast industry. Her most well-known role is as anchorwoman on CNN's morning program At This Hour. Then, she was co-anchor for the morning program of CNN, New Day as well as The Situation Room. Bolduan was a part of the award-winning coverage by CNN of presidential elections 2012 and 2016. She also worked in Washington DC as a correspondent for the US House, and US Senate. Bolduan is part of the Capitol Hill Unit, reported on legislative cycles and congress activities, including talks to increase the federal loan limit and the Super Committee deliberations. Additionally, she worked as a general-assignment correspondent covering topics like that of the Christmas Day terrorist attack of 2009, the Supreme court's decision on Obamacare in addition to the implementation in 2009 of the stimulus plan. She joined CNN at the end of 2007 and was a national reporter with CNN Newsource. She was a CNN Newsource national correspondent, offering breaking news and reportage on feature stories to more than 800 CNN Newsource affiliated stations.
