Ina-Garten

Ina Gardner is the writer of a number of popular American cooking books. Ina also hosts Barefoot Contessa on Food Network. The show has been running since 2002. Ina Garten started her career in the White House where she wrote nuclear energy policies and budget papers. Her first impression was that her job interesting and stimulating however she soon lost interest, and bought a small food specialty store named Barefoot Contessa. It was a huge success for 18 years, until she made the decision to close it. Then she began writing her first cookbook. A number of different cookbooks and magazines were later published. The Food Network TV show also debuted, and was a huge success. Her products range from kitchen equipment to ingredients and storage containers. Ina is a self-taught cook that hasn't attended a cooking school, nor been in the kitchen. Her name is known for her unpretentious way of entertaining and easy cooking. The most well-known recipes are Skillet - Roasted lemon Chicken Mac and Cheese, Beef bourguignon, Mac and cheese, Beatty's Chocolate Cake as well as Lemon Bars.
