Zoe-perry
Perry is Perry is a Chicago native, she was born into Laurie Metcalf and Jeff Perry. She made her first appearances in television shows as Jackie Harris, a character played by her mother in her role on the ABC show Roseanne. Perry did not decide to consider a career in acting until she reached adulthood, as her parents were afraid of the negative consequences stress can have. Perry admitted that she wasn't at ease in the stage during high school. However, she began performing as a means to connect with new people during her time at Northwestern University after switching from Boston University. When she graduated, Perry went to New York to search for TV work, landing a few roles on series such as Law & Order: Criminal Intent however, her homesickness led her back to California which is where she discovered acting work. In 2013, she appeared in The Other Place on Broadway alongside her mother. Her father Kevin McKidd performed in Eugene O'Neill's Pulitzer prize-winning film Anna Christie with her in 2015. Perry appeared nine times in the ABC drama The Family, in 2016. In 2017 she had an recurring role in the ABC political thriller Scandal which starred her father. In the same year, she portrayed a child model of Mary Cooper on Young Sheldon (a CBS spinoff The Big Bang Theory) as her mother as a young version. The part was offered to her through audition, regardless of the fact that she has a family tie to the character.
